Experience

Professional Background

Jenny is a seasoned wife and mother who has spent decades mentoring teens, young single women, mothers, and married couples. These years of life and ministry experience have shaped a deep understanding of the human heart and the challenges that come with relationships, identity, and faith.

As a licensed professional counselor, Jenny draws on both her personal and professional formation to help adults find healing, peace, and deeper freedom. Her work is rooted in a Catholic understanding of the human person and integrates the best of psychological science, spiritual formation, and embodied healing.

Therapeutic Approach

Jenny uses an integrative, faith-informed approach to counseling, tailoring treatment to the unique needs of each client. She draws from a variety of evidence-based and experiential modalities, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) — helping clients explore the negative beliefs, thought patterns, and core assumptions that shape their emotions and behaviors. Jenny integrates these insights with Christian truth and identity, inviting clients to cultivate new ways of thinking and responding that align with scripture and their identity as a beloved child of God.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) — an evidence-based approach for processing traumatic or distressing experiences.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed Therapy — exploring and healing inner parts of the self with compassion and curiosity.

  • Somatic and Mind-Body Work — training with Sr. Mary Stephen, helping clients gently reconnect with safety and awareness in their physical and emotional experience.

  • Spirit-Led Inner Child Work — trained under Brya Hanan, integrating emotional, spiritual, and relational healing.

Her counseling also reflects her extensive formation through faith-based programs such as the John Paul II Healing Center and the Encounter School of Ministry, where she deepened her understanding of inner healing prayer and spiritual accompaniment.
